PDO Threads
What are threads?

Threads are a revolutionary, minimally invasive invention of the 21st century that instantly restores a youthful appearance. They are an excellent alternative to surgical facelifts and body lifts. In aesthetic medicine, threads are successfully used to eliminate emerging wrinkles, folds, and lines. They can also be used to combat loose and sagging skin, including in the lower part of the face, neck, décolletage, and abdomen. They significantly improve breast firmness and eliminate sagging and stretch marks on the buttocks and thighs. Threads can also be used for nose correction. When introduced into the subcutaneous tissue, threads stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid—a compound that occurs throughout the body and has the ability to bind water (one molecule of hyaluronic acid can bind up to 250 molecules of water!). As a result, the skin becomes significantly more hydrated and smoother. After being placed under the skin, the threads act as a scaffold that provides lifting and firming effects. Skin tension and firmness improve, making it visibly rejuvenated! Threads also stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which makes the skin more supple and elastic. Treatments using threads are a quick and safe way to halt the aging process of the skin. An important advantage is the lack of necessity for a scalpel, and thus—incisions and scars. The threads are completely absorbed, and by stimulating the production of new collagen fibers, the skin continues to maintain a fresh and youthful appearance. The effects of the treatment are immediately noticeable and long-lasting. There are several variants of the treatment using threads. Four basic types are distinguished:
-Smooth threads
- Threads with hooks
Specialists at the clinic will select the appropriate type of thread based on the client's needs. The use of lifting threads is particularly recommended for individuals aged 30 to 65 who wish to rejuvenate their skin without undergoing an invasive surgical procedure.
How to prepare for the treatment?

The treatment does not require any special preparation from the patient. The skin undergoing the treatment should be clean and free of inflammatory conditions.
How does the treatment proceed?

The thread treatment is safe and practically painless. The only discomfort is associated with the skin puncture. In the first stage, the person performing the treatment marks strategic locations where the threads will be inserted. Local anesthesia is then applied. The next step of the procedure is to place the threads in the dermis using special needles or cannulas integrated with the thread. The duration of the treatment depends on the area of the body where the threads are applied, as well as the initial condition and the expected final result. Patients notice the first effects of the treatment almost immediately. They observe a noticeable increase in skin tension. However, the final effect takes about six weeks to fully manifest. Patients also appreciate this treatment because it does not require the care of an anesthesiologist or hospitalization. There is no recovery period—one can almost immediately return to daily responsibilities. The only inconveniences that may occur directly after the treatment are facial discomfort, slight swelling, and bruising of the skin, which resolve spontaneously within two weeks after the procedure.
